The DTI Rainprop PPP

A Public Private Partnership agreement has been signed between the National Department of Trade and Industry (The DTI), Department of Finance, the City of Tshwane and Rainprop (Pty) Ltd on Friday 8 August 2003 in Pretoria.

In terms of a Public Private Partnership (PPP) procurement framework, the DTI has awarded a 25-year master concession to Rainprop to design, build, finance and operate the new head office campus. This is the first national accommodation PPP project to be approved by the National Treasury's PPP Unit under the Public Finance Management Act. 1 of 1999 (PFMA).
